Beautiful Scars abstract circle screenprint
Beautiful Scars is one of an ongoing series of original screenprints. Each print is unique inspired by the evolving relationship between gestural mark making and complex colour relationships.
It is currently on display as part of my solo exhibition at CourtX in Southsea, Hampshire until 20th May
Prints are created by over screenprinting layers of transparent and opaque acrylic paint through stencils created from hand drawn marks on drafting film.
While I start with a colour scheme and broad composition in mind the pieces often evolve over multiple printing sessions which is a time consuming process.
The circular print is 24cm in diameter printed on 285gsm soft white fabriano rosaspina fine art paper which is approximately 32 x 32cm. Please see photographs for close up detail.
This piece is framed in a white painted wooden frame with spacer for a contemporary look and acrylic glazing to allow the framed work to be shipped. If you’re interested in purchasing please get in touch.
The print is initialled and titled on the front and signed in full on the reverse.
